Nevada Speedway season continues
The evening of Aug. 8 started out hot and windy with temperatures in the mid-90s all afternoon. Track officials worked through the heat pouring water on the track during the day in preparation for the night's show.

Race Brothers Show-Me Late Models
The show brought in 27 late models, including local legends Jack Simmons, Marty Danner and Shannon Phillips. They provided four heats and restarted the evening after intermission with a "B" Feature. The results of that race were not readily available.
You could feel the thunder of the horsepower as the Show-Me Late Models lined up 22 to start the main event of the evening. After driver introductions, the drivers took their positions for a 25-lap feature.
With a minimal amount of cautions, the race finished 16 of the original lineup. As the dust blew away, the track started taking rubber and tightening. The 77 of Roger Wilson dominated the race with the 25B of Wessley Briggs in second, the 15 of Kevin Henson in third, the 21 of Jordan Holloway and the 55 of Ken Essary rounding out the top five.
