Fort Scott runners compete at Big Hill Lake
CHERRYVALE, Kan. -- Fort Scott High School's cross country teams took part in a meet at Big Hill Lake Thursday with Parsons acting as the host.
In the 4-kilometer girls' varsity run, Jenna Harper finished in 13th place for the Tigers with a time of 19:59.93 while Morgan Tourtillott was 14th in 20:08.37.
In the 5K boys' varsity race, Logan Fancher turned in a time of 19:56.97 for 17th place. Robert Sellers was 26th in 20:29.59 and Charlie Sercer finished 44th in 21:56.46.
The junior varsity girls also ran 4 kilometers and saw Leah Cassleman finish eighth in 2:57.31. Megan Midkiff was 13th in 22:32.74. Autumn Owenby was 21st in 23:46.58 and Hannah Fredericksen was 33rd in 28:05.05.
The JV boys ran 4K as well. Anthony Sercer finished 15th for the Tigers in 17:28.54. Colton Ballou was 23rd in 18:00.72, Kyle Altic 37th in 18:50.81, Austin Sather 43rd in 19:11.13 and Alex Ho 65th in 20:24.32.
The Tigers are scheduled to go to the Doc Stiles Invitational at Iola Tuesday.
