Middle school volleyball wins Pittsburg tournament

The Nevada Middle School eighth grade volleyball team participated in the second annual eighth grade volleyball tournament in Pittsburg, Kan., on Saturday, Oct. 3. The girls defeated Colgan of Pittsburg, Coffeyville, and Frontenac to move on in the winner's bracket. The girls played Parsons in the first round of the winner's bracket, then defeated Pittsburg to win the championship.
