Ronnie Dean Engle
Ronnie Dean Engle, 46, Liberal, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, in Barton County, Mo., as a result of a traffic accident. He was born Jan. 27, 1963, in Nevada, to Lonnie Loren Engle and Joan Doris Rackley Engle.
Ronnie was born and raised and spent most of his life in this area. He attended school for many years in Hume, Mo., and graduated from Liberal High School in 1981, and later graduated from Pittsburg State University in 1988. He made his living as a master electrician, working in both residential and commercial construction. For the past four years he has co-owned and operated Trackside Kennel, raising a variety of breeds. He was an avid fisherman and could catch fish when no one else could. He also loved to hunt, and most all sports. He was a member of the Christian Church.
Survivors include his partner of seven years, Gayla Dawn Swarnes, Liberal; five children, Ashley Dawn Engle, Arma, Kan., Angela Marie Grable and her husband David, Killeen, Texas, Randall Dean Engle, of the home, Robert Donald Sullins and his wife Jacinda, Butler, Mo., and Heather Dawn Sullins and her fiance John Willis, Branson, Mo.; one grandchild, MacKensie Rayne Sullins, Butler; his mother and father, Lonnie and Joan Engle, Liberal; two brothers, Lonnie Joe Engle and his wife Joyce, Liberal, and Jon Ray Engle and his wife Tammy, Liberal; one sister, Lona Lynn Warren, Harrisonville, Mo.; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Larry Brown and Bill Gillette officiating. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery in Nevada.
Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home, and the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon between 1 and 2 p.m., prior to the service.
