Ready set, it's Christmas

A Fort Scott city worker helps suspend a Christmas tree above the intersection of Wall and Main streets Friday morning to prepare the downtown area for the holiday season. The tree is one of several decorations that will be displayed along Main Street throughout the holidays. The decorations will help enhance the 5th Annual Christmas Parade, which begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, in downtown Fort Scott. --Jason E. Silvers/Herald-Tribune
