Russell Eugene Campbell

Russell Eugene Campbell, 80, of Rich Hill, died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009, at Moore Few Care Center, in Nevada. He was born June 13, 1929, to Emery and Clara Mae Wolfenbarger Campbell, of Foster, Mo.

Gene is survived by his wife, Ruth Campbell, of Rich Hill; one son, Jim Campbell and wife Kitty, of Butler, Mo.; four daughters, Elain Engelhardt and husband Steve, of Butler, Linda Jagels and husband Ricky, Tina Buckner and husband Bruce and Eugenia Brocka and husband Greg, all of Rich Hill; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren and four stepgreat-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James "Buddy" Campbell.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 5, at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel, in Butler, with pastor Michael Manz officiated. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rich Hill Methodist Church, Prairie City Zion Lutheran Church, or Rich Hill Lions Club.
