Traffic heavy in Nevada despite heavy snowfall

Afternoon traffic on Austin was heavy despite the thick snowfall Friday. Early in the day, reports of accidents caused by the weather were light, as of 3 p.m. the Vernon County Ambulance District had only responded to one injury accident, that of two women injured early Friday morning, but as time passed mishaps increased, with several reports of vehicles sliding off the roadway and other minor, weather-related incidents. Drivers also faced low visibility from blowing snow. --Steve Moyer/Herald-Tribune

Ther were many accidents during the evening, because people aren't smart enough to stay home.

Should have let school out at 12:00 on Friday. It was a mess trying to get kids picked up and out of the already congested school areas.
