Nevada Middle School basketball beats Seneca
The Nevada Middle School seventh and eighth grade boys' basketball teams hosted Seneca Tuesday night with promising results. The seventh graders earned strong victories in both games, taking the A contest by a final score of 42-15 and the B contest, 31-12.
Tristan Smith paced the A game with 15 points while Austin Sims led the B team offense with eight.
The eighth graders had similar success on the night, taking both games by the final scores of 42-32 and 46-22. Lane Ketterman paced the A game with 13 points while Austin Gayman had 10 in the B contest.
With those victories, the seventh grade A team's record improved to 3-7 on the year while the B team is 5-5. The eighth grade A team improved its record to 9-2 on the year while the B team moved to 5-5.
Both the seventh and eighth graders are set to conclude the season in the Tri-County tournament Feb. 8-11.
