Red Cross offers shelter simulation class Saturday

The Greater Ozarks chapter of the American Red Cross will conduct at "Shelter Operations and Simulation" class, at 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday, April 17, at the Senior Center, inside the Neal Center, 301 N. Main, Nevada.

This class includes instruction on the operation, setting up, administration and closing of a general population Red Cross shelter.

Class participants will learn how to run and manage the shelter, how to provide for the needs of those in the shelter, how to recognize and address problems according to the Red Cross Code of Conduct, according to a press release. The second half of the class is a simulation and table top exercise.
