Tigers host JV tournament
The Nevada Tigers junior varsity golf team hosted their first tournament of the year on Monday as they welcomed a total of eight teams from Missouri and Kansas in the Nevada JV Tournament at the Frank E. Peters Municipal Golf Course.
Not having enough players to field a full team left the Tigers out of contention for the tournament championship, but they still got some strong individual performances. Ty Peckman tied for fifth overall as he led the Tigers with a final score of 55 while Trevor Landis and Colby Moorhouse finished 13th and 17th at 60 and 63, respectively.
El Dorado Christian School's Jeremy Jones posted the best individual score of the day as he finished the course in 46 strokes, while St. Mary's Colgan Catholic School took the team title with an overall score of 228. Butler finished second while Stockton finished third, Lamar took fourth and El Dorado Springs was fifth.
