Wolfe, Mock, Habjan receive sportsmanship award

Nevada High School seniors Ross Wolfe, left, Mariah Mock and Dominic Habjan, far right, were presented with the Missouri State High School Activity Association Award of Excellence for Sportsmanship, Ethics and Integrity during the annual NHS Senior Recognition Night, May 14. Mock lettered in volleyball and track and was named the volleyball MVP twice. She was selected to the All District volleyball team three times and for the Academic All State volleyball team. Mock will be attending the College of the Ozarks on a volleyball scholarship. Ross Wolfe was selected as the NHS basketball offensive player of the year as well MVP of the basketball team and was an All District basketball athlete. He is a member of the National Honor Society and was on the NHS All A honor roll. He was a team member of the National Championship DECA Virtual Sports Challenge. He hopes to continue his basketball career at Southwest Baptist University. Dominic Habjan lettered in wrestling, cross country and tennis and was captain of both the wrestling and tennis squads. He was the MVP on the tennis team and was on the NHS All A honor roll. He is a member of the National Honor Society and was a member of Nevada High School's National Championship DECA Virtual Sports Challenge team. --Ralph Pokorny/Daily Mail
