Sheep, goat production workshop set for June 5

A sheep and goat production workshop will be conducted by Jodie Pennington, Lincoln University regional small ruminant educator, on June 5 at the Vernon County fairgrounds in Nevada. Registration is at 9 a.m., with the half-day program starting at 9:30 a.m. Topics covered include selection of sheep and goats; management including feeding, breeding, vaccinations, parasite control and general care, and fitting and showing. The $5 registration fee is payable at the door, but those who plan to attend are asked to call the Vernon County Extension Center at (417) 448-2560 by June 2.
