All-District baseball teams announced

The 2009-'10 Class 3, District 12 All-District teams have officially been announced. This year's teams featured several familiar names as Nevada and El Dorado Springs High Schools combined for six selections.

For Nevada, senior Ron Johnson joined sophomore Cory Kerbs on the first team while Kyle "Bubba" Banes and Taylor Scotten were both selected to the second team. El Dorado Springs senior Colt Whitesell and junior Kanon Hoover both earned first team spots.

Both the Tigers and the Bulldogs were defeated in the district tournament by eventual champion Carl Junction -- El Dorado Springs in the semifinals and Nevada in the tournament championship.
