Opportunity ahead

Patsy Garner, Crowder College teacher education coordinator, speaks with two potential students for the new education program at Crowder at an open house Thursday. The program, offering students the opportunity to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in Nevada, is a partnership between Crowder College and Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo. Crowder College Nevada Campus Director Donna Thomas said, "Crowder College in Nevada is delighted to partner with Missouri State University in bringing this program to our campus. We have worked with Missouri State the past two to three years to make this program a reality, and we know it will be a great advantage to area residents seeking further education, Crowder students working toward elementary education certification, and local school districts needing more certified instructors."
