Saturday, July 24, the El Dorado Springs' Spring Park will resonate with music as several bands perform in one of the Spring City Revitalization Group's free Summer Concerts. The evening begins with Kamber Cain and Take Five at 6:30 p.m., followed by the Municipal Band at 8 p.m. The Area 51 Horn Band takes the stage at 9 p.m., with their take on oldies rock and roll, blues and swing with the sweet sounds of horns, keyboards and four-part harmonies.

In an upcoming concert, Saturday, Aug. 14, Duke Mason will perform along with the local Gospel Showcase.

The concerts help to raise awareness and funds for the continued revitalization efforts in El Dorado Springs which include the Main Street sidewalk, the second phase of replacing blighted houses with new parking and green space.

The concert series is sponsored by the city of El Dorado Springs, the Municipal Band, LCN Graphics, 107.7 The Lake, and the Spring City Revitalization Group. The group is working on the possibility of bringing higher education to El Dorado Springs in the form of a university extension campus and on several other projects.
