Four States Heroes celebration to honor Korean War veterans

Max Motors will honor veterans Wednesday with a Four States Heroes celebration. Korean War veterans will receive special recognition as Tuesday, July 27, is the anniversary of the armistice which ended hostilities of the Korean War in 1953.

The celebration will last from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with free hamburgers and hot dogs for everyone who attends the event. Gene Payne, who is organizing the event for Max Motors, said that he hopes veterans will get the word and come to the event to be honored.

"I'd like to see them all come," Payne said. "We've invited the DAV, the VA, the VFW and all veterans organizations."
