Wal-Mart celebrates grand re-opening

Wal-Mart Manager Gary DeCocq and 30-year associate Nancy Smith cut the ribbon on the revamped store during the grand re-opening ceremony held at the Nevada Supercenter Friday morning, July 30. More than 100 employees, business leaders, elected officials and community members turned out to the store, which opened seven years ago. The ceremony included a prayer, a flag presentation, donations to several organizations and a few words from Nevada Mayor Jayne Novak. DeCocq said, "It took a small army to make this happen," and extended many thanks to the community and those who made the drastic change-over possible and successful. Urging all those present to enjoy refreshments and other activities, DeCocq said, "Let the shopping begin."
