Nevada Neptunes participate in Tri-State B Championship
Twenty-five members of the Nevada Neptunes swim team participated in the Tri-State B Championships in Claremore, Okla., July 31 and Aug. 1.
Swimmers participating in the competition had to swim a preliminary round to qualify for the finals in each event. The Neptunes placed sixth overall in the 12-team field. The following swimmers qualified for finals and placed in the top six:
* 8-and-under girls: Madyson Bogart-fifth place, 25-yard Freestyle; Alison Bower-first place, Backstroke and second place 100-yard IM and Maddison Chadd-sixth place, 50-yard Freestyle.
* 8-and-under boys: Nathan Johnson-first place, 25-yard Backstroke and third place, 25-yard Butterfly; Tretin Raney-second place, 50-yard Freestyle and Logan Longobardi-sixth place, 50-yard Freestyle.
* 9- and 10-year-old girls: Emily Johnson-fourth place, 50-yard Freestyle, third place, 50-yard Backstroke and fifth place, 50-yard Butterfly and Averi Caswell-second place, 50-yard Backstroke.
* 11- and 12-year-old girls: Lori Lile-third place, 50-yard Butterfly; Morgan Ernsbarger-fourth place, 100-yard Freestyle and Paige Webb-sixth place, 100-yard Freestyle.
* 11- and 12-year-old boys: Bryson Leftwich-third place, 50-yard Backstroke, fourth place, 100-yard IM, third place, 50-yard Butterfly, second place, 100-yard Freestyle and second place, 50-yard Breaststroke. Leftwich also received the High Point award for the 12-and-under boy's division.
* 13- to 14-year-old boys: Dalton Eador-second place, 50-yard Breaststroke.
The Neptunes will wrap up their season this weekend at the Tri-State A Championships in Siloam Springs, Ark.
