Adolescent addiction recovery treatment available at Pathways
Pathways Community Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. is now offering an adolescent addiction recovery treatment program in the Nevada area. Accessibility and convenience are a focus of the Adolescent Addiction Recovery program with many services offered in the adolescent's family's home, at school or at other community locations. This program emphasizes opportunities to develop healthier choices and positive changes in its holistic approach to problems arising from teen use of alcohol or other drugs.
In addition to the Adolescent Addiction Recovery program, Pathways also offers an early intervention program consisting of anger management, conflict resolution and alcohol and drug education classes.
The early intervention program is designed for teens who need a less-intense level of treatment intervention for addiction recovery issues with a focus of preventing participants from needing more intensive addiction recovery services.
Participants may enroll in either one, or both classes. The one-hour classes meet for five weeks, on Monday evenings. A certificate will be awarded at the end of the five-week course. These classes are currently being offered in the Pathways Nevada office, located at 320 N. Mac Blvd, and individuals may enroll at any time.
According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse and the Drug Enforcement Administration, one in five teens has abused prescription drugs and one in three teens reports there is "nothing wrong" with using prescription drugs every once in a while. With one in three teens reporting knowing someone who abuses prescription drugs and almost 2,500 teens abusing a prescription drug for the first time, it is important to also be aware of treatment options for teens in the Nevada area.
