NEVC baseball beats Bronaugh
WALKER, Mo. -- The Knights of Northeast Vernon County High School evened their overall record with a victory over the Bronaugh Wildcats Monday afternoon, Sept. 27, at Northeast Vernon County High School.
After a slow start by both teams, the Knights pulled slowly ahead and the then broke things open by scoring seven runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. The Wildcats had one more chance, but couldn't capitalize and the Knights ultimately held on to take the victory by a final score of 10-1.
The Knights put up 12 hits in the game, while the Wildcats were only able to record two. Seth Alexander started off pitching for the Knights and was relieved by Tanner Stutzman in the fourth.
With that win, the Knights' record improved to 3-3 on the year and NEVC will host the Hume Hornets Thursday, Sept. 30.
