Two council meetings tonight
The Nevada City Council will be holding two meetings tonight; a special meeting at 6 p.m. and then the regular meeting at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers, at the Public Safety Building, 120 S. Ash St.
During the special meeting, the council will meet with a representative from Global Software to receive an update on the records management system used by the city and the Western Missouri 9-1-1 Dispatch Center.
Then, the council will hold their regular meeting at 7 p.m., to consider the first reading of a special ordinance approving a lease for property to expand the parking lot at the Crowder College campus.
The council will also be considering the re-appointment of Mary Haggans and Jim Labitska to the board of zoning adjustment and John Flynn and Jim Erpenbach to the planning commission.
Other items on the agenda include the second reading of a special ordinance amending the city's 2010 fiscal year budget and the second reading of a special ordinance approving a special use permit to allow KCP&L to install an 80foot communications tower at their service center, 721 N. Osage Boulevard.
