Middle school volleyball sweeps Joplin East

JOPLIN, Mo. -- The Nevada Middle School seventh and eighth grade volleyball teams swept Joplin East Monday in the Joplin East Middle School gym.

Head coach Trudy Fleeman's eighth graders won the A match, 25-10 and 25-14, and the B team match, 25-17 and 25-13. Head coach Marsha Hooper's seventh graders equalled that success, sweeping Joplin East, 25-13 and 25-18, in the A team match and 25-7 and 25-13 in the B team match.

Both the seventh and eighth grade teams were scheduled to be back in action Tuesday as the seventh graders hosted Lamar and the eighth graders visited Lamar.
