October 2

Melissa Allen reported a second degree burglary and unlawful entry in the 300 block of North Ash Street. Item stolen was an LG stereo system.

October 5

3:15 p.m.: An accident occurred on Walnut and West streets, involving a car driven by Janell E. Hawks, Nevada, and a bicycle operated by Joseph E. Gerling, Nevada. Gerling received evident -- not disabling injuries.

Larry Roberston Sr. reported a theft in the 100 block of South Ash Street. Items stolen were: a 6-1/2 foot camo fiberglass duck boat and a set of aluminum four wheeler ramps.

October 12

3:03 p.m.: An accident occurred on U.S. 54 Highway before Business 71 Highway, involving a car driven by Calvin K. Abele, Nevada, and a SUV driven by Christina M. Clark, Milo. No injuries were reported.

October 13

7:58 p.m.: An accident occurred at 1100 E. Austin St., involving a pickup driven by Travis D. Evans, Nevada, and a pickup driven by Lyman L. Bott, Moundville. No injuries were reported.

7:20 a.m.: An accident occurred on Business 71 and Walnut Street involving a pickup driven by Joseph E. Cole, Nevada, and a SUV driven by Kathryn R. Zachary, Nevada. No injuries were reported.
