SHELDON, Mo. -- On Friday, Dec. 10, the Northeast Vernon County Knights were on the road once again at Sheldon for a matchup against the Panthers. Camille Buttorff of the Knights put up 12 points with Tiffany Scheer adding six. For Sheldon, Erica Conner led the offensive effort with 21 points, followed by Hailey Conner with 19 and Lexi Rawlings with 14. The Lady Knights continue to improve, says their coaching staff, even though they lost, 75-25, giving the Lady Panthers an easy victory.

On the boys' side, the Knights jumped out to an early lead with an opening shot by Tanner Stutzman. Although it was a close game from start to finish, the Knights never lost the lead, taking the win by a final score of 53-40. Grant Davis led the Knights with 17 points, while Jacob Bell had 14 and Josh Bachand put up 10. For the Panthers, Eric Leavell led the offensive effort with 26.

The next game for the Knights will be at home Thursday, Dec. 16, hosting the Ballad Bulldogs at 6 p.m.
