Eighth grade basketball falls to Carl Junction

The Nevada Middle School eighth grade boys basketball A and B teams struggled Tuesday night as they took on the Bulldogs of Carl Junction at Nevada Middle School.
In the B game, Carl Junction started out the night with a 39-18 victory and completed the sweep in the A game with a 51-29 win. Austin Sims led Nevada in the B game with six points, while Tristan Smith had 14 in the A game.
With those losses, the B team's record fell to 0-3 on the year, while the A team is 1-2. Both squads are scheduled to be back in action tonight as they head back out on the road to take on Neosho.
