Local physician receives national honor

Dr. Sean Gravely, D.O., FACOI of Nevada, was honored on Oct. 24 by the American College of Osteopathic Internists for excellence in the practice of internal medicine.

The Honorary degree of Fellow in the ACOI was conferred upon Dr. Gravely in a ceremony witnessed by more than 400 of his peers, family and friends.

To qualify for the degree of Fellow, a physician must demonstrate continuing professional accomplishments, scholarship and professional activities, including teaching, research and community service

Dr. Gravely resides in Nevada and has an internal medicine medical practice at Nevada Medical Clinic, 900 W. Adams, Nevada.

The ACOI is a national medical specialty society representing more than 4,000 osteopathic internists and medical subspecialists.
