Crash on icy road injures two
Tuesday night, several motorists suffered mishaps after losing control on the snow-slick roads; in many cases, there were no injuries and some motorists were able to get back on the roadway and move on.
According to reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at least one of those crashes resulted in injuries.
Nineteen-year-old Tiffany Shaw and 24-year-od David E. Williams, both of Joplin, suffered minor injuries when the car, 1 1998 Nissan Altima driven by Williams, skidded off the ice-covered roadway, ran into the median and overturned along U.S. Highway 71, one-half mile south of Milo. Both Shaw and will iams were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, the report said, and both were transported to Nevada Regional Medical Center for treatment.
