NHS Softball team receives Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award

The Missouri State High School Activities Association has awarded its highest academic honor to the Nevada Lady Tigers High School Softball Squad. This award is based upon the semester team GPA, which was an outstanding 3.5 from the Nevada High School's State Champions. Accepting the MSHSAA Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award are Tiger Head Coach Tammy Holcomb, and seniors Jessica Neely and Lexi Johnson. The award was presented by assitant high school principal Chris Holcomb (far right) Feb. 15.

"We are exceptionally proud of the efforts of our Tiger athletes in the classroom and appreciative of the emphasis that Coach Holcomb and her staff place on academic responsibility," said Nevada High School Athletic Director Kevin McKinley.
