Nellie Lorene Confer

Nellie Lorene Confer died at the age of 83 in Springdale, Ark., on Dec. 12, 2007. On Oct. 23, 1948, Lorene was united in marriage with Paul Confer.

Lorene was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was the head bookkeeper for Midas Muffler in Wichita, Kan., and Ginger's Lady Wear. She also enjoyed reading and gardening.

She is survived by one brother-in-law; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Lorene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Confer; one sister; two brothers; and two stepsons, Bill Confer and David Confer.

A committal service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, March 19, at Milo Cemetery, Milo, Mo., with the Rev. Ralph Clark officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
