Betty L. Chrisenbery

Betty L. Chrisenbery, 72, Moundville, Mo., passed away on Monday, April 4, 2011, at her home. She was born July 27, 1938, in Moundville, Mo., to Louis V. Swartz and Leona B. York Swartz. She married Richard S. Chrisenbery on March 15, 1957, in Nevada, Mo., and he preceded her in death on June 7, 2007.

Betty worked at Foodtown Grocery Store, Nelly Don, and at Franklin School for 13 years as a school cook until her retirement. She later worked as a volunteer for the Nevada Regional Medical Center Women's Auxiliary.

Survivors include two sons, Doug Chrisenbery and his wife, Brandi, Bronaugh, Mo., and Denny Chrisenbery and his wife, Shannon, Bronaugh, Mo.; three grandchildren, Sara, Emma and Dakota; and one brother, Ronnie Whithrow and his wife, Debra, of The Colony, Texas.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 7, at Sheldon Cemetery, Sheldon, with the Rev. Jerod Lamb officiating. Friends may call now and until 9:30 a.m., Thursday, at Ferry Funeral Home, 301 S. Washington, Nevada.
