Brooklynn Vincent breaks shot put record

Brooklynn Vincent broke the eighth grade shot put recored at Nevada Middle School with her last throw of the season. On May 5, at the Nevada Tri-County track meet, Brooklynn threw the shot put for the record of 37 feet, 7.5 inches. Earlier this year, Brittney Vickers had broken the school record at the Carl Junction track meet with a distance of 35 feet, 11 inches, surpassing a record of 34 feet, 2 inches, held by Jordan Webb since 2004.
