City recognizes Citizens of the Year with proclamation

Denise Nelson, left, and Tricia Bridgewater accept a proclamation from Nevada Mayor Brian Leonard, in honor of both women, who share the title of the 2010 Citizen of the Year, an honor bestowed each year by the Nevada Rotary Club, recognizing contributions in leadership and community service. Both Nelson and Bridgewater accepted the honor, but indicated their accomplishments in serving the community and supporting and advocating for the area's youth were truly community efforts that would not have been possible if not for the efforts of many.
