Pool opens today

Last year, these kids had a great time at the Walton Family Aquatic Center in Nevada. Weather and maintenance issues delayed the pool's opening this year, but the facility's ready for use. Weather permitting (there's a chance of storms today) the pool will open at 1 p.m., when patrons can get a look at new equipment upgrades to the children's area. Staff will be available after 10 a.m., and Visa and Mastercard payment will now be accepted for admission and snack bar purchases.

The pool is open 1-7 p.m., Mondays through Saturdays; and 1-6 p.m., Sundays. Admission is $3.50 for ages 3 and older.
