Sandra K. Manley
Sandra K. Manley, 73, of Joplin, Mo., passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2011, following an illness.
Sandra was born on Sept. 8, 1938, in Pittsburg, Kan., the daughter of the late Harold and Maurine (Jackson) Trogle. She has been a resident of Joplin since 1986, moving there from Nevada.
She worked as a medical secretary for 14 years for St. John's Regional Medical Center. When she lived in Nevada and Texas she worked for nursing homes and other medical facilities.
She married Bill Manley on April 4, 1956, in Kansas City, Mo., and he survives.
Additional survivors include five sons, William Manley and wife, Debbie, Joplin, Richard Manley and wife, Cindy, College Station, Texas, Mike Manley and wife, Janice, Randy Manley and wife, Joyce, Bruce Manley and wife, Brenda, all of Joplin; one daughter, Cheryl Manley, Springfield, Mo.; one daughter-in-law, Debbie Manley, Joplin; one sister, Sharron Keys, Lamar, Mo.; 23 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Jess Lee Manley; two grandchildren, Michelle and Dustin Manley; and by Cheryl's partner in life, Lynn Cordova.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Richard Manley will officiate. Burial will be in Osborne Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 7-8 p.m., Tuesday, at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
