Extension to offer program regarding precision agriculture
On Friday, Aug. 26, the University of Missouri Extension will be hosting an educational program featuring precision agriculture technologies. The purpose of this program is to demonstrate technologies that enable farmers to conserve energy and inputs. This program will consist of a presentation by Kent Shannon, MU Extension ag engineering specialist, and a bus tour of two farms that utilize precision agriculture to conserve resources and improve profitability.
The program will last from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in or near Nevada. Lunch will be provided. The entire program and lunch are free, but participants must register with the Vernon County Extension Center by Tuesday, Aug. 23. Register by calling (417) 448-2560 or e-mail WiegelW@missouri.edu.
