Sheldon man dies in crash Thursday

A 33-year-old Sheldon man was killed in a one-vehicle crash Thursday morning.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Shawn P. Parsons was traveling east on Highway B, 6 miles east of Sheldon at 8:45 a.m., when the 2004 Chevrolet Trail Blazer he was driving ran off the right side of the roadway. The patrol said the vehicle returned to the roadway and overturned several times, ejecting the driver. Parsons was pronounced dead at the scene by Vernon County Coroner David Ferry.
