Nevada is top seed at softball district

The Nevada High School softball team is the top seed at the Class 3, District 11 Tournament.

The tourney begins with first round games on Wednesday, Oct. 5, and will be played in Bolivar.

Nevada will play the winner of Strafford and Logan-Rogersville on Thursday, Oct. 6, at 4:30 p.m. The tourney title game is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 8, at noon.

The winner of the district will host a sectional.

Wednesday, Oct. 5

(4) Strafford (9-11) vs. (5) Logan-Rogersville (7-16), 4:30 p.m.

(3) Bolivar (11-8) vs. (6) Buffalo (6-12), 6 p.m.

Thursday, Oct. 6

(1) Nevada (15-2) vs. winner of Strafford-Logan-Rogersville, 6 p.m.

(2) Marshfield (14-5) vs. winner of Bolivar-Buffalo, 6 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 8

Title game, noon.
