Woman hurt in Wednesday crash

A Maryville, Mo., woman suffered moderate injuries in a traffic crash Wednesday evening.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Delores E. Heitman, 67, was driving a 2004 Buick Rendezvous, northbound on U.S. 71, 9 miles north of Nevada, when, the patrol said, her vehicle was forced off the roadway by a tractor-trailer. Heitman lost control, ran off the roadway and struck a guardrail.

Heitman was transported to Overland Park Regional hospital, Overland Park, Kan., by air ambulance.
