Friends of 4-H honored

Galen Gazaway of the 4-H Council of Vernon County presents one of two Friend of 4-H awards to Julie Righter, publisher of the Nevada Daily Mail. The 4-H council chose the Nevada Daily Mail and KNEM/KNMO Radio as this year's recipients during the 4-H Recognition Night held in the home economics building at the Vernon County fairgrounds on Saturday, Oct. 8. Gazaway said the media outlets were selected for the award because of their long traditions of supporting the youth program.
