Lake Ozark, Mo -- Last week, Associated Industries of Missouri presented Representative Barney Fisher with the organization's 2011 Friend of Manufacturing and Industry Award at a reception hosted at the Lake of the Ozark's Lodge of the Four Seasons. Many Missouri business leaders attended the event to honor this year's award recipients.

"AIM is pleased to present Representatives Fisher with our Friend of Manufacturing and Industry Award. His support of business-friendly issues throughout the 2011 legislative session has helped move Missouri forward and shown that the Show Me State welcomes business," said Ray McCarty, President of Associated Industries. "Missouri businesses have faced tough times, but with the help of legislators like Representative Fisher, Missouri can prove that we stand for principles that attract new business to our state and strengthen those here already. AIM wants to thank Representative Fisher for supporting that cause."

Associated Industries of Missouri performed an in-depth analysis of pro-business issues during the 2011 sessions. The organization reviewed legislators' votes on important business issues, including:

* The repeal of Missouri's Corporation Franchise Tax.

* Employment and Workers' Compensation Law.

* Environmental Regulation

* Job creation initiatives.

Associated Industries' mission is to "promote a favorable business climate for business, manufacturing and industry."

Associated Industries has been working for the businesses of Missouri for more than 90 years.
