Bledsoe finishes season at state

JEFFERSON CITY -- Nevada High School senior Alex Bledsoe finished his high school cross country career at the MSHSAA Class 3 State Championships on Saturday at Jefferson City's Oak Hills Golf Center.

But it didn't quite go as planned.

Bledsoe finished 154th overall with a time of 20:43.

Bledsoe took first place at the District 7 meet in Kansas City and said his goal for state was a top three finish.

Bledsoe finished 15th at state as a junior.

With three runners in the top 13, Warrensburg won the team title.

Led by Drew White's individual state title, Festus was second in the team standings. White crossed the line first with a time of 16:05. Liberty North's Max Jobson was second with a time of 16:36.
