Rain-slick roads blamed for Monday crash

A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says rain-slick roads were to blame for a crash that left a Nevada woman with minor injuries Monday morning.
According to the report, 28-year-old Wendy L. Thompson was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer south on BB Highway, 5 miles south of Nevada, at 6:47 a.m., when she lost control on the slick pavement, ran off the right side of the road and struck a ditch.
Thompson was transported to Nevada Rgeional Medical Center, Nevada.
