Darryl Potter
Darryl Potter, 72, of Yauger Road, Mount Vernon, and formerly of Butler, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, at the Emeritus at HillenVale.
He was born on March 25, 1939, in Lynwood, Calif., to the late Emmett and Lillie Pearl (Robison) Potter. Darryl was employed at Trans Con in Columbus, Ohio, from which he retired and he also served in the Army National Guard.
He is survived by his sons, Rick (Debbie) Potter of Mount Vernon, Ohio, Don Potter of Mount Vernon, Ohio, Dan (Tanya) Potter of Dunkirk, Ohio; his daughter Shelia Mundy of Lamar, Mo.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Bethany Kempf of Fort Myers, Fla., and Algera Davis of Booneville, Mo.
Besides his parents, Darryl was preceded in death by his brother, Gene; and two sisters, Sue and Joretta.
A memorial service was held on Monday, Nov. 21, at 3 p.m., at the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel in Butler, Mo. The family will observe a private graveside service at a later date.
