On My Own to host casino night

On My Own's 4th Annual Casino Night will be held tonight at the Nevada Elks Lodge. The evening will begin at 5:30 with social time followed by dinner at 6 o'clock.

The dinner includes a smoked brisket dinner. A celebrity auction will be held again this year with seven local community members donating their time and specialty to help raise money to benefit consumers at On My Own, Inc. Casino games will be played from 7:30-10:30 p.m., with great prizes available to win, according to a press release.

All monies raised will be used by On My Own's Services for Independent Living Department and will be used to purchase adaptive equipment to help local people remain independent in their own homes.

On My Own, Inc. has been providing much needed services to persons with disabilities in Vernon County for 14 years. Each year, the number of people whose lives are affected by a physical or mental disability increases, and the services are needed more and more. It is the organization's mission to provide assistance to every person, infant through senior adult, with independent living issues in the community.
