Thursday, January 5, 2012

On Friday, Nevada Regional Medical Center will hold a meet-and-greet event for several new members of their leadership team. The event will be held at 9 a.m. in the Mezzanine conference room at the hospital and light breakfast will be served.

In December, the hospital made some changes to its organizational structure and welcomed their new Chief Operations and Financial Officer, Tommy McGee. Tommy came to NRMC from Texarkana with more than 30 years experience as a hospital administrator. He will oversee all financial and operational aspects of the hospital.

Another fairly new leader is David Hensley who has been the director of Patient Financial Services at NRMC since February 2011. David came to NRMC with more than 15 years experience in his field and was most recently the Executive Director of Patient Financial Services at Mercy Hospital in Fort Scott. In December, David was promoted to the position of Controller at NRMC and will now oversee all of Patient Financial Services, Admissions and Accounting. David and his wife, Jill, are Nevada natives and have two children, Cali, 4 and Carter, 1 month.

Also being welcomed to a new role, Angela Barrett is the new Clinic Operations Manager for the hospital. She is responsible for management, financials and operational oversight of the hospital-based clinics and partners in oversight of the rural health clinics at NowCare, Sheldon and Rich Hill. She has been with NRMC for four years, starting as an accountant. Angela received her bachelor's degree in accounting from Pittsburg State University. She and her husband, Adam and their two children, Matt and Libby, reside just outside Nevada.

Recently hired to NRMC, Regina Padgett will serve as the nutritional services manager. Regina recently moved to Nevada from Arkansas City, Kan., where she worked as a dietary manager for a long-term care facility. She attended the Wichita Area Technical College where she received her degrees as a certified dietary manager and a certified food protection specialist. Regina has two daughters and five grandchildren. She recently moved to Nevada to join the team at NRMC.
