Nevada wrestling competes at Kearney

KEARNEY -- The Nevada High School wrestling team competed at the Bill Skillman Tournament in Kearney on Saturday. Competing in the Purple bracket, Nevada defeated Raytown South 46-36 in its first dual. Next, Nevada defeated Truman 33-19. Liberty North then defeated Nevada 39-30. In the third place dual of the Purple bracket, Nevada defeated Truman 37-18.

Lawson defeated Liberty North 36-30 in the first place dual. In the Gold bracket, Staley defeated Kearney 30-25 in the first place dual.

No individual results from the tourney were made available to the Daily Mail.
