Reichard leads NHS swim team at Springfield Invite

SPRINGFIELD -- The Nevada High School girls swim team competed at the Springfield Invite on Saturday.
Nevada sophomore Grace Reichard once again had a fine day in the pool. Reichard took first place in the 100 butterfly with a state-qualifying time of 1:01.63.
Reichard also finished second in the 50 free with a state-qualifying time of 24.85.
Also for Nevada, Tayrin Schmitt took 19th place in the 100 breaststroke (1:19). Megan Messick finished 29th in the 100 back (1:13) and Hunter Richmond was 36th. Messick was 36th in the 100 fly (1:13) and Richmond was 40th (1:15). Schmitt finished 28th in the 200 free (2:17), while Elizabeth Prewitt was 59th (2:35), Abbie Landoll was 64th, and Lize Smith was 72nd. Prewitt was 61st in the 200 IM and Smith was 65th. Emma Denman was 43rd in the 50 free, Rees Noble was 67th, and Olivia Culbertson finished 75th. Denman was 52nd in the 100 breast and Landoll was 57th. Noble was 74th in the 100 free, Culbertson was 77th and Tori Chrisenberry was 78th.
In the 200 medley relay, Nevada was 13th (2:06). The Tigers were 13th in the 200 free relay and 20th in the 400 free relay (4:45).
Nevada finished 13th in the team standings.
