Middle school boys beat Seneca

The Nevada Middle School seventh grade boys basketball team defeated Seneca 45-10 on Tuesday. Matt Sommer scored 19 points for Nevada. Patrick Ferry chipped in 12. Nevada also won the B game 44-24. Cameron Diaz scored 19 and Tyler Seaver added eight.
The eighth grade boys also beat Seneca, as the Tigers downed the Indians 42-13. Chaden Brandt scored 10 and Levi Palmer added nine for Nevada. The Tigers are now 4-5. The B team lost a heartbreaker 19-17 in overtime. The Indians scored with three seconds left. Bryson Leftwich led Nevada with six points.
Nevada plays at Joplin South tonight.
