Cottey falls at North Ark, home on Thursday

HARRISON, Ark. -- The Cottey College basketball team fell to 6-12 on the season with an 80-56 loss to North Ark Community College on Saturday.

North Ark jumped out to a 40-27 lead by halftime. The second half was nearly identical, as North Ark outscored Cottey 40-29.

Jordan Davidson scored 16 points to lead the way for Dave Ketterman's Comets. Santana Cruz also reached double figures with 10 points.

Cotey's Bailey Braden had a team-high nine rebounds, while Blaklee Sanders had seven assists.

The Comets struggled shooting the basketball, hitting just 20 of 52 field goal attempts (38 percent). Cottey hit just four of 14 three-point attempts and made only 12 of 21 foul shots. Cottey will host Penn Valley on Thursday at 6 p.m.
