Police Reports Feb. 29-March 4

Feb. 29

11:40 a.m.: An accident occurred at Cherry and Washington streets involving an unknown vehicle and a pickup owned by Robert H. McCoy, Nevada. Accident is still under investigation.

There was a report of a petty theft in the 600 block of East Allison Street. Parts were removed from a parked pickup.

March 1

4:04 p.m.: An accident occurred at Alma and Berry streets involving a pickup driven by Larry C. Sanderson, Nevada, and a car driven by Sharon M. Barkman, Nevada. No injuries were reported.

5:03 p.m.: An accident occurred at U.S. 54 Highway and Route BB involving a motorcycle driven by Garth W. Arvin, Nevada, and a van driven by Virginia E. Creek, Nevada. Arvin suffered minor injuries.

March 2

2:40 p.m.: An accident occurred at Lynn and Walnut streets involving a car driven by Twila J. Holmes, Nevada, and a pedestrian Kristi M. Van Rooyen, Nevada. Van Rooyen reported minor injuries.

4:16 p.m.: An accident occurred at Spring and Ashland streets involving a car driven by Erlene Hendrix, Nevada, and a car driven by Brooke N. Munsterman, Nevada. No injuries were reported.

There was a report of a theft in the 200 block of East Highland Avenue. Items stolen were five miscellaneous rings.

There was a report of a petty theft in the 200 block of North Lynn Street. Items stolen were: Three twin size sleeping bags, one queen size sleeping bag and one tote.

March 3

There was a report of property damage in the 900 block of West Austin Boulevard. The front passenger's window of a vehicle was broken out.

March 4

There was a report of a vehicular theft in the 500 block of South Main Street. A 1995 white Ford Explorer was reported stolen. The Nevada Police Department later recovered the vehicle in the 300 block of South Washington Street.
